Valebalavu and Singh hopeful of making the 400m Sub-Junior Girls final
Philipa Valebalavu of Tabia College and Amelia Singh of International School Suva had great runs in the sub-junior girls’ 400 metres heats today, winning heats 3 and 4 respectively in style.

Valebalavu thanked God for the strength.

Singh says the training was tiring, and she was glad to win her heat in the scorching sun.

Both are hopeful and excited about making it into the final.

Kadavu Provincial Secondary School's Kesaia Boletakanakadavu's record of 59.52 seconds set in 2018, still stands for this event.

The 400 metres finals will be held at 3pm tomorrow.
