The Leader of the People’s Alliance, Sitiveni Rabuka says he does not dictate what the National Federation Party does and confirms they will announce their deputy leader tomorrow.

Rabuka has stated this after Attorney General and Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum called the NFP Leader Professor Biman Prasad as the defacto deputy leader of People’s Alliance in parliament.


When asked for his comments regarding Sayed-Khaiyum continuously calling People's Alliance ‘Paapi’ which means sinner in the Hindi language, Rabuka says all Christians are sinners and saved by God's grace.



Meanwhile, Rabuka also confirms that more than 180 people have applied to become candidates for the People’s Alliance in the upcoming general elections.

He says they will not release any names now as they are going through the interview process.

Rabuka they will finalise their candidates before the 26th of this month.
