Charters’ lawyer tells court stay application has not been filed yet
Fijian and British national Charlie Charters’ lawyer, Seforan Fatiak informed the court that they have not applied for a stay application yet.

Fatiaki says they are waiting for Justice Siainiu Fa’alogo Bull’s ruling tomorrow on another stay application, as it will have direct bearing on their application.

He asked for a one-week adjournment to see the outcome of the ruling and determine on which grounds the investigation will continue.

FICAC’s Joseph Work was present for the case.

The matter has been adjourned to the 4th of May.

Charters on the 3rd of March was allowed to Australia for work, but must return on 26th March or before.

Charters is charged with two counts of aiding and abetting under the Crimes Act, and is currently on bail.
