Two women who were arrested for an initial report of causing trouble are also being investigated for allegedly assaulting a female officer at the Wainibokasi Police Post.
A team of officers from the Eastern Division were attending to the first report of causing trouble at Nabitu Village where the two suspects, a 29-year-old school teacher and a 38-year-old woman were arrested.
As they were being processed at the Wainibokasi Police Post, the two suspects allegedly attacked the female officer before other officers stepped in to control the situation.
The officer sustained minor injuries and her uniform was torn as a result of the alleged assault.
