Crusaders beat Blues 36-20 to maintain perfect home record

The Crusaders have kept their perfect record at One NZ Stadium with a 36-20 win over the Blues in the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific last night.

George Bower, who played his 100th match for the Crusaders, opened the scoring for the defending champions, followed by a try to lock Jamie Hannah to put them in a 12-3 lead.

Ben Lam and Sam Nock scored for the Blues to give them a 13-12 lead at half time.

The Crusaders rallied back in the second half, scoring another four tries through flyhalf Rivez Reihana, Kyle Preston, Sevu Reece and George Bell.

Flanker Leicester Fainga’anuku was devastating in the match, setting up multiple tries as the hosts kept in touch with the top three.

In another match, the Chiefs beat the Reds 31-21.

Today, the Highlanders will face the Waratahs at 4.35pm, Moana Pasifika will meet the Hurricanes at 7.05pm and the Western Force will host the Brumbies at 9.35pm.
