Coca-Cola Games: Grammar's Vonolagi and Natabua's Tuinavitilevu have fastest qualifying times for Blue Ribbon event

With one day to go until the much-anticipated 2026 Coca-Cola Games, all eyes will be on who will take home the Blue-Ribbon title.

Suva Grammar School's Paula Vonolagi and Natabua High School's Josevata Tuinavitilevu recorded the fastest times in their respective zones, both clocking a manual time of 10.57 seconds.

Serupepeli Waqavonovono of Ba Provincial Free Bird Institute is the third fastest qualifier with a manual time of 10.78 seconds.

Deve Baeta of Nabua Secondary School has the fourth fastest time, stopping the clock in a manual time of 10.83 seconds in the Suva Zone 1 competition.

Simione Ligabuka of Ratu Simione Matanitobua College and Church College Fiji's Jean Kalowia are tied for 6th place at 11 seconds, while Queen Victoria School's Jone Raibevu clocked 11.02 seconds.

Eseri Rokobaro of Grammar and Walter Muanivalu of Nasinu Secondary School are also tied at 11.03 seconds.

The 10.43 seconds record for the 100 metres set by Pacific sprint king and former Marist sprinter, Banuve Tabakaucoro in 2011, still stands.

The Senior Boys 100 metres heats start at 2pm tomorrow, with the finals at 6.45pm.

The Coca-Cola Games will be held from tomorrow to Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
