Clark Laidlaw has re-signed with the Highlanders  for another year through to the end of the 2027 season.

Laidlaw's contract renewal extends his tenure for the men's team to a fourth season since joining the Hurricanes from the All Blacks Sevens ahead of the 2024 campaign, replacing Jason Holland, who has since returned as an assistant coach.

He had to be relieved, though, when he learned the card hadn't been upgraded to red; it was deemed a "late drop'' by Millar, prior to the collision, had contributed to his own misfortune.
