Several roads and crossings in the Western Division remain closed or restricted following the impact of Tropical Cyclone Vaianu, with flooding, fallen trees and debris continuing to affect access.
The Fiji Roads Authority says in Nadi, the Old Nadi Back Road is closed due to a fallen EFL pole and EFL has been notified of it; Qalitu Place and Legalega Road are closed due to fallen trees, and FRA will mobilise emergency teams to remove them.
Ciri Road, Vuniyasi Road, Stoney Creek Sabeto Crossing on Sabeto Road, Savalau Crossing 2 on Savalau Road, and Uciwai Bridge on Uciwai Road are closed due to flooding; Nawai Crossing on Nawai Road is closed due to debris on deck, and contractors will be mobilised to remove it.
Yavuna Junction on Nausori Highlands Road is closed due to a fallen tree – the road is inaccessible to all traffic, and a team will attend to the site as soon as the road is safe.
Moala Road is restricted to 4x4 vehicles only due to flooding; Queens Road, just before Lomolomo Police Post is restricted due to a fallen EFL pole and EFL has been notified of it, while Saunaka and Tunalia Road Junction are restricted to a single lane due to fallen trees, and emergency contractors are mobilised to remove them.
In Ba, Navala 2 Crossing on Navala Road and Nacaci Crossing on Toge Road are closed due to flooding, and reinstatement will commence once the water recedes.
Nadelei Crossing 5 and Nadelei Crossing 6 on Nadelei Road, and Vatawai Crossing on Vatawai Road are restricted to 4x4 vehicles only due to flooding, and reinstatement works will commence once the water recedes.
In Lautoka, Vaivai 2nd Crossing and Vaivai 3rd Crossing on Vaivai Road are closed due to approach washouts, and FRA will mobilise emergency teams to reinstate them.
In Rakiraki, Navolau Slip on Kings Road is restricted to a single lane due to an overslip, and a team will be mobillised to remove the debris.
In the Central Division, Colata Cocoa Crossing in Korovou is closed due to flooding, and FRA is waiting for the water to recede.
