Semo Bypass is open to all traffic; however, the road has been damaged.
The Fiji Roads Authority says material on the side of the bypass has washed away due to heavy rain and flooding.
They say that once weather permits, they will carry out backfilling works to ensure sufficient road width.
FRA says traffic managers are controlling traffic on site.
They add that water levels have since receded in most parts and they will carry out an assessment of road network damage soon, while some areas are still flooded.
