Ratu Kadavulevu School is taking a humble and disciplined approach as they prepare for the upcoming 2026 Coca-Cola Games, with a strong focus on improving their performance from last year.

Vice Principal Sailosi Koroibola says preparations have been steady, with athletes working quietly towards meeting the expectations of the school through discipline, teamwork and commitment.

He says like many schools, they continue to face challenges in balancing academic work with training, as well as ensuring proper recovery time, however, the boys have shown resilience despite this.

He adds that the school community, including old boys, parents and supporters, have played a key role in supporting the team.

He says all athletes are preparing to contribute to the overall team performance, as the school continues to work within its means.

Koroibola says the school had a modest outing at the Tailevu Zone meet, and is now focused on lifting its performance at the national level.

He says they are heading into the competition as underdogs, with the main goal of bettering last year’s result and competing with respect against other schools.

Koroibola adds that the school continues to be guided by its 2026 Bible theme from Daniel 11:32, encouraging students to remain strong in character and faithful in their efforts.

The Coca Cola Games will be held from this Thursday to Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
