In an interview with fijivillage News, students from the college said they were happy to be able to raise funds for this noble cause.
They say they were informed by their college principal about the appeal by Communications Fiji Limited.
Meanwhile, their teacher, Usha Devi, who is a cancer survivor, also shared her experience after being diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Devi says that in 2021 she discovered a lump in her breast.
She says she had a feeling something was wrong before the results came, but hearing it was one of the hardest moments of her life.
She says there were moments when she broke down, but she kept reminding herself to stay strong.
