Reverend Cakau strongly urges young Fijian men and boys to step forward and take up leadership roles in the church and community.
While speaking to fijivillage News, Cakau stresses that it is time for the younger generation to take the baton of leadership while elders stand behind them with support and encouragement.
Cakau shares that he took over church leadership at the age of 30 after his father, and although some people had doubts, others placed their trust in him.
He says that the same trust must now be extended to young Fijians, assuring them that senior members of the church will stand with them, cheer them on and pray for them.

Cakau says while Fiji is facing challenges such as drug abuse, family struggles and negative influences, the church wants to bring a message of hope and encouragement rather than condemnation.
He stresses that mistakes and failures should not define young people, saying that they should see setbacks as learning experiences and continue moving forward.
While reflecting on his own journey, he says education is important, but what matters most is a strong and active relationship with God, which guides people through life’s challenges.
Cakau also highlights that the church must remain relevant in a changing society and continue serving the community as a place of healing and support.
He says the church does not exist outside the community but is placed within it to help people who may be struggling or have been rejected by others.
Cakau also reveals that several international church leaders will be visiting Fiji for upcoming celebrations and gatherings, including the head of the Assemblies of God worldwide, senior church leaders from Australia and Korea, and other speakers who will share their experiences and encourage the local church.
He says the gathering is expected to energise the church and challenge members to take their work and outreach to the next level.
