Radrodro calls on students to reflect as Fiji marks Palm Sunday

As the country marks Palm Sunday, Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro is encouraging students to take this time to reflect and give thanks for their families, teachers and friends.

Radrodro says that today, Fiji joins the rest of the world in celebrating Palm Sunday.

He says that in Fiji, children can be seen waving palm branches with joy and singing praises to the Lord.

While speaking on the meaning of the day, Radrodro says that in the Bible, Jesus welcomed the praises of children and reminded us that praise from young hearts is precious to God.

He says that by choosing children to celebrate His coming, Jesus shows that true worship comes from a humble heart, and also reminds us that children have an important place in God’s plan.

He says that this Palm Sunday, we should see in our young ones a gift of joy and hope.

The Minister also highlighted diversity in schools, saying Fiji is blessed to have students and teachers from different backgrounds, which strengthens the learning environment and promotes unity.

He also conveyed his best wishes to teachers and parent, saying that is that their role in the lives of students is powerful.

He says their hard work and dedication help shape students’ dreams and future, and encourages them to keep the spirit of service alive in classrooms and homes.

He further stated that on this on this Palm Sunday, let us all carry forward the message of hope, peace, unity, and love.

He says that together, let us build positive and nurturing environments for our children and our nation.
