Public Service Commission Chair Luke Rokovada says they are giving former Permanent Secretary for Fisheries Atelaite Rokosuka a second chance by giving her the role of the head of Fiji Learning Institute for Public Service.
Rokosuka was involved in the controversial planned $115 million wind turbine project and was found guilty by the Public Service Disciplinary Tribunal and reprimanded publicly but resumed office on the 19th of last month.
Rokosuka was reassigned as the Head of FLIPS last week.
While responding to questions by fijivillage News, Rokovada says they have to provide room for improvement.
He says they are confident that in her case, she admitted to what she did and apologised as she thought she was doing the right thing.
Rokovada says there was no loss of public funds and no money was spent or used by the government in that project because it was in the early stages and was abandoned.

He stresses the tribunal mentioned that she should be reinstated.
Meanwhile, Rokosuka did not want to comment on the details of the case, but says she is glad to be back.
While speaking to fijivillage News, Rokosuka says she has a calling to come and continue the service and she is happy to be back to impart whatever knowledge, skills and experiences that she has to help build the civil service in the right direction.
