Police look into case of QVS student hit by vehicle at school
Simo Nadavelevu Boladrau, a Year 13 student of Queen Victoria School, is still in hospital after being run over by a vehicle inside the school compound, and Police are conducting their investigation into the incident.

Speaking to fijivillage News, Boladrau says the car was allegedly driven by a teacher learning to drive, with another teacher in the passenger seat providing instructions.

Boladrau says the incident occurred at around 4pm last Wednesday after their house meeting, and he was rushing to the gym for their session.

He says everything happened so fast because maintenance and grass cutting was taking place, and he could not hear the car coming from behind before it hit him.

He also states that he could not believe a car could be travelling at that speed within the school premises, and that someone was being taught how to drive within a school compound.

Boladrau also clarified the allegations circulating on social media about teachers allegedly threatening him to say that he had fallen off a carrier inside the school compound, saying this is not true.

The 18-year-old says the car rolled over him and he could not move.

Boladrau’s older brother, Mosese Boladrau says the family is demanding a full investigation into the incident and to ensure that the teacher involved is properly investigated.

Police say investigations are underway and they are awaiting medical clearance for Boladrau before they can take his statement.
