The crackdown on the drug trade in Fiji has intensified with multiple drug raids throughout the country with the seizure of drugs and money believed to be proceeds of crime.
Investigations also include pursuing the criminal element of "tainted properties", assets obtained through illegal means such as the sale of drugs.

Police say the seizures over the past days have included white and green drugs, as part of the joint efforts with the Republic of Fiji Military Forces, across the five divisions.
It has been revealed that apart from the raids in the towns and city areas, teams are also on joint deployments in the rural and maritime areas.
The Police and RFMF joint teams are working in areas known for drug related activities.
They have done some targeted operations in known areas in the western division as well.
A Labasa man is also in police custody.
