Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka says the military understands very well that they can work with the Police in supporting the fight against drugs.
Rabuka made this clear after comments by Commander of the Joint Task Force Command at Blackrock Camp in Nadi, Brigadier General Manoa Gadai where he offered to assist or even lead the Inter-Agency Joint Counter Drugs Operation from the Blackrock Camp.
While responding to questions by fijivillage News, Rabuka says he prefers to have a look at the comments made by Gadai and that we have to verify the reported incidents that he has made comments on.
However Rabuka says there is a clear understanding between the Ministers for Defence and Policing, and he does not have any doubt that the operational heads of the policing and military arms can cooperate very well in their joint operations.
He adds the allegations against the Police officers have to be proven and these also have to be reported.
Rabuka stresses that no one is guilty until proven.
