Natabua lead boys division and MGM lead girls category

Natabua lead boys division and MGM lead girls category

Natabua High School is leading the boys division while MGM High School is in first place in the girls category in the fijivillage medal tally of the 2026 Coca Cola Games.

Natabua is leading with 1 gold, RKS is in second place with 1 silver while Rotuma High School is third with 1 bronze.

MGM High leads the girls division with 3 gold, and 1 silver, Christian Mission Fellowship Secondary School is in second place with 1 gold, while Levuka Public School and Suva Grammar School are tied in third place with 1 silver medal each.

MGM's athletes Keleni Lutu claimed gold in the Senior Girls Triple Jump, Savaira Kulavia won gold in the Junior Girls Javelin, and Tanesa Areki won gold in the Intermediate Girls Shot Put.

Regina Waqatabu of Christian Mission Fellowship Secondary School won gold in the Junior Girls High Jump, jumping a height of 1.60 metres. 

Meanwhile, Setareki Dawai of Natabua High School set a new record and won gold in the Intermediate Boys Discus with a throw of 49.89 metres.

He broke a 11 year record set by Josua Serukilagi of Queen Victoria School in 2015.

The 100 metres heats are currently underway at the HFC Bank Stadium.
