Suva lawyer, Shazran Abdul Lateef has been taken to hospital after collapsing in the Police Prosecution Room this afternoon.
Lateef was scheduled to appear before Magistrate Sufia Hamza on a charge of possession of illicit drugs.
Police Prosecutor Khushboo Ali objected to bail.
It is alleged that Lateef was found in possession of 0.584 grams of methamphetamine on the 4th of December this year.
Police Prosecutor Ali will update Magistrate Hamza on Lateef’s health status in court tomorrow.
