A heavy rain alert remains in force for the whole of Fiji.
The Nadi Weather Office says a trough of low pressure lies over Fiji, and associated cloud, showers, and rain are expected to affect the group for the next few days.
Meanwhile, a moist northeasterly wind flow prevails over the country.
Occasional rain, heavy at times, and a few thunderstorms are expected over Yasawa, Mamanuca, Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri, Ra-Rakiraki, Vanua Levu, Taveuni, and nearby smaller islands, as well as the Lau, Lomaiviti, and Kadavu groups.
Possible impacts include flash flooding of flood-prone low-lying settlements and communities, businesses, and river crossings, leading to traffic disruptions.
This may also cause surface flooding on streets in urban areas with poor drainage.
Wet roads and reduced visibility, especially during heavy downpours, increase the risk of road accidents.
