Filipo Daugunu hits 100 Super Rugby games

Filipo Daugunu hits 100 Super Rugby games
Fiji-born Wallabies winger Filipo Daugunu will reach a milestone this weekend when he features for the Queensland Reds against the Crusaders in the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific, as he celebrates his 100th Super Rugby appearance.

Daugunu's high-voltage style for the Queensland Reds has been a major plus this season following his return to Brisbane in the Super Rugby Pacific.

The 31-year-old has been selected on the wing for Saturday night after scoring his 35th Super Rugby try in last weekend's loss to the Western Force.

Daugunu's 99 Super Rugby games include 12 outings with the Melbourne Rebels.

There are two changes to the starting side for Saturday night.

Wallabies hooker Matt Faessler and winger Tim Ryan come in for Josh Nasser and Treyvon Pritchard, who have both been ruled out as they progress through HIA protocols.

On the bench, experienced hooker Richie Asiata and centre Isaac Henry add impact later in the game.

Reds Head Coach Les Kiss says it is great to see Daugunu reach this milestone.

He says the other players love playing with him as he has made many crucial plays in both attack and defence.

Kiss says the clash against the Crusaders is a challenge the team is looking forward to.

The Reds will take on the Crusaders at 9.35pm Saturday.

In other matches, the Brumbies will face the Highlanders at 7.05pm tomorrow, Moana Pasifika will meet the Chiefs at 2.05pm Saturday, the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua will host the Western Force at 4.35pm, and the Hurricanes will take on the Blues at 7.05pm.
