Fiji Sevashram Camp concludes with emphasis on holistic child development

The eight-day Fiji Sevashram Student Camp for the holistic development of children concludes today, with a focus on giving back to the community.

Camp founder Swami Sanyuktanand stresses that there were various sessions where children were taught skills such as self-defence, meditation, yoga, and more.

Sanyuktanand highlights that many parents have shared positive feedback about the camp, emphasising the positive impact it has had on their children.

Meanwhile, student Kenzy Lenah Gavidi travelled all the way from Labasa to attend the workshop.

She shares that she has been part of the camp for the past 10 years and learns something new every time.

She adds that she plans to take everything she has learned at the workshop and teach her four younger siblings and friends back in Labasa.

Another student Krisha Ravula says her favourite part of the workshop was the Lathi session, where students were taught self-defence techniques.

Ravula, who is also a student at Jai Narayan College, says she has been attending the camp since the age of 13 and enjoys making new friends each year.

She adds that she especially enjoyed learning about the history of her ancestors and the yoga sessions, which have helped improve her flexibility.

Sanyuktanand is urging parents to make use of camps like this to help impart knowledge and support the holistic development of their kids.
