Drua look to keep ball alive and outplay Reds’ kicking game

The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua plan to make full use of their back three this Saturday, aiming to play an exciting brand of rugby while avoiding being drawn into the Queensland Reds’ kicking game.

Head coach Glen Jackson shared from the team’s base in Nadi that they are determined not to get caught up in a dull, kick-heavy contest.

Jackson also highlighted the consistency within the squad, noting they have fielded the same lineup over the past three matches. He praised the players for performing above expectations against strong sides such as the Hurricanes and the Brumbies.

He says that the bench has been making a significant impact when called upon, with players often referring to themselves as the ops team for their contributions on the field.
