Extra Bula FC endured their first defeat of the OFC Pro League, falling 1-0 to a 10-man Auckland FC at North Harbour Stadium in New Zealand.

The match's only goal came from Daniel Normann, who found the net in the first half.

A goal by Bula FC's Nabil Begg was ruled out after captain Roy Krishna was found to be offside.

In the second half, Everton O'Leary was shown a red card for a tackle on Kaile Auvray, leaving Auckland with just 10 players on the field.

Stéphane Auvray says they should have scored but hopes Fijians are proud because the team put out a good performace.

Next, Bula FC will face Solomon Kings FC next Sunday at 7.30pm at the Santos National Football Stadium in Papua New Guinea.

In another match earlier today, South Island United claimed their first-ever OFC Pro League victory, defeating Vanuatu United FC 2-1 at North Harbour Stadium.
