BSP Life is supporting the next generation of storytellers through its partnership with the 15th Annual Kula Film Awards 2026, coming on board as the exclusive sponsor of the Film Category.
The partnership marks a significant collaboration as BSP Life celebrates 150 years of service in Fiji.
They say it also reflects the company’s continued commitment to investing in youth development and supporting initiatives that promote inclusion and positive social impact.
As a life and health insurer, BSP Life says wellbeing goes beyond protection, highlighting the importance of confidence, self-expression and the ability to share meaningful stories.
The company believes storytelling plays a powerful role in raising awareness, fostering understanding and building stronger, more resilient communities.
Through the Film Category, students are encouraged to produce original films focusing on themes such as mental, physical and financial wellness, three key pillars central to BSP Life’s mission.
BSP Life has committed a total sponsorship of $25,000, with $20,000 allocated to support the Film Category and $5,000 dedicated to assisting five remote high schools to attend and participate in the awards.

This initiative aims to ensure that students from remote communities have equal access to national platforms that promote learning, creativity and recognition.
Film Fiji Chief Executive Officer, Jone Robertson says partnerships like this are vital in creating practical opportunities for young people.
He says support from BSP Life enables the delivery of hands-on workshops, mentorship programmes and access to production resources, helping students turn their ideas into films while building confidence and valuable skills.
BSP Life Managing Director Michael Nacola says the partnership aligns with the company’s long standing commitment to making a positive difference in people’s lives.
He adds that supporting young people, their ideas and their voices is key to fostering creativity and encouraging the development of healthier and more inclusive communities.
