Baka Bookshop launches Summer Reading Challenge for students

Baka Bookshop launches Summer Reading Challenge for students
co-founder Samantha Magick
As the long school break begins, Baka Bookshop has launched a Summer Reading Challenge for students, encouraging them to make good use of their holidays by picking up storybooks, reading them, and returning the books once they have completed their reading.

Speaking to fijivillage News, co-founder Samantha Magick says the initiative encourages children to step out of their comfort zones and explore reading materials that can benefit them.

Magick says the challenge will close on 24th January, and children are encouraged to send in a photo showing that they have completed their reading, which will qualify them for the draw.

She says the total prize money is $1,000, which will be shared across all categories.

The co-founder is also encouraging children to stop by the bookshop and spend at least half an hour reading.
