Writer and filmmaker from Ra, Adi Tulia Nacola and Rotuma's first and only playwright, award-winning filmmaker and full professor, Vilsoni Hereniko will appear on fijivillage Straight Talk With Vijay Narayan at 7pm Wednesday.
The show will focus on Adi Tulia's film, Adi.
The movie follows two siblings of chiefly status in the province of Ra.
Through an unexpected turn of events and retribution of the older sibling, the role of chief ends up falling on the younger sibling: Adi.
What unfolds is a struggle within a chiefly household to keep order within the family, and how courage and forgiveness can bring peace to a community. Hereniko will also speak about the importance of supporting creative arts in Fiji.
Hereniko's film, The Land Has Eyes premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and was Fiji's first and only film it ever nominated for the Academy Awards.
