As the Fiji National University (FNU) Open Day continues, a group of first-year students took a creative and entrepreneurial approach to support their studies.
The group, who go by the name Taroga Tale, made up of five dedicated Bachelor of Education (Industrial Arts) students selling food at the FNU Open Day, currently underway at the Nasinu Campus.
Member of the Taroga Tale group, Thomas Baker says they are grateful to have been provided with a tent to sell breakfast and lunch, which will help fund their class projects and academic needs.
He emphasises that students must learn to be independent and understand the importance of saving as a backup for rainy days.
Students are encouraged to visit the FNU Open Day and take advantage of enrollment opportunities, where they can also receive their provisional offer letters.
The FNU Open Day continues tomorrow at the Nasinu Campus from 9am to 3pm, giving students, teachers, and parents another chance to explore what FNU has to offer.
