You can now apply for police clearance on Land Transport Authority related applications at LTA branches as the Fiji Police Force and LTA have today signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
Applications for police clearance through LTA will also be free for the next 12 months for PSV drivers.
This is part of the government’s efforts to ease the financial stress that Fijians are currently facing due to the economic downturn caused by the pandemic and the recent Russia-Ukraine conflict.
LTA Board Chair, James Sowane says this is another step towards making life and business easier for all Fijians.
He says this service will be provided in all their branches at no cost, initially, for the next 12 months. Police Commissioner, Sitiveni Qiliho says it is about providing better services to the people.
He adds there was a low number of fatalities during the last festive season and acknowledged the support of LTA in that regard.
Qiliho says they don’t want to lose any more lives and are working together with the team at LTA on surge operations at various time-frames to keep everything under control.
