A woman is in hospital following a daylight robbery in Koronivia, Nausori at around 12pm yesterday.
Police say she is currently at the Nakasi Health Centre and is in a stable condition.
Neighbours say the woman was alone at home when it is alleged that a man entered from the back door of the house and seriously assaulted her.
Eyewitnesses also say they saw a man wearing a brown vest, running out of the house.
Police say they will wait for the woman’s statement to determine what transpired.
The Police K9 Unit and CSI are still at the scene.
Investigations are underway.
