The 28-year-old woman and her 3-year-old son who were involved in a fatal accident at Waqadra in Nadi yesterday remain admitted in hospital.
Police say the woman was transferred to the Lautoka Hospital while her son remains admitted at the Nadi Hospital.
The accident also claimed the life of a 26-year-old man who was the driver of the vehicle.
Police say the post mortem will be conducted today.
The road death toll now stands at 16 compared to 28 for the same period last year.
