We want the media to be free as they can ever be – PM Rabuka
Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka

We should educate and train ourselves to accept whatever comes against us when people use the media freedom that has been given to them.

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka stated this while speaking on media freedom.

Rabuka says he would like the media to be as free as they can ever be and for the people as well to enjoy their freedom while using the media to express their views and concerns.

He adds most people go the length to criticise the media just because they do not like what the media posts on behalf of other people’s views and opinions.

Rabuka says all his life he has never been upset with the media.

He says he had learned to accept the freedom that people have in relating to the media and the freedom of the media in conveying the views of the people.

He further says people should also learn to take other people’s views as it comes if they themselves are expressing their views, and if they can’t take it, then they should not throw it.
