We are inviting Fijians to come home as no bureaucratic wall will now separate separate you from the land you treasure.
Minister for Home Affairs and Immigration Pio Tikoduadua highlighted this during a press conference regarding the MOU signing with the Ministry of iTaukei Affairs on granting the Department of Immigration limited access to the VKB Database.
The Minister says they are not only amending the policies but weaving dreams and bridging distances.
Tikoduadua says every Fijian, whether currently on our shores or far carries with them a piece of Fiji and all Fijians no matter where they are, regard Fiji as their home therefore it is our duty to ensure that they are always welcome home.
He says we are inviting you home where Fiji knows no racial bounds.
Tikoduadua says our ancestors, from every corner of the globe, came together, cultivating the rich, diverse paradise we call home.
He says if you are a descendant from 10th October 1970 you qualify to benefit under this policy.
He added that this is not just a policy but a celebration of our roots.
