Watikadi and Raibili help Lelean beat Adi Cakobau in first round of Eastern Raluve competition

Laisani Watikadi of Lelean Memorial School today showcased her rugby talent after they beat the under 18 team of Adi Cakobau School 15-5 during the first round of the Eastern Zone Raluve competition.

The 18-year-old who has been selected recently to join the Vodafone Fijiana extended squad also played a crucial role in organising the girls from Davuilevu.

Watikadi says she chose the game of rugby to make her parents proud and to support her 4 siblings as she is the eldest.

Also being picked for the Fijiana 15's extended team is Siteri Raibili of Lelean.

The Adi Cakobau School also scored a try after an impressive maul from their hardworking forwards.

ACS utilised their sprinters from the the Coca-Cola games with Melania Ranadi, Tokasa Turuva, Domitila Naita providing speed out-wide and helping their team to score a try.

In the under 14 grade Lelean Memorial School thrashed Ratu Kadavulevu School 17-7.

In the under 16 grade, Lelean Memorial School out classed Nakasi High School 22-0 and Vunimono High School beat Pt Shreedhar Maharaj College 5-0.

In the Raluve u16 Adi Cakobau School beat Lelean Memorial School 12-7.

In other results from the Tailevu North College school ground today, Queen Victoria School u14 beat Tailevu North College 15-8, Levuka Public School u16 thrashed Tailevu North College 20-5, Ratu Kadavulevu School u19 overcame Sila Central School 24-6 and Ratu Kadavulevu School u18 team beat Tailevu North College 5-3.
