Good news as the new Waiqele Nursing Station will serve more than 6,000 people after the groundbreaking ceremony for the Station was conducted by the Minister for Health, Dr Ratu Atonio Lalabalavu.
While officiating the ceremony, Dr Lalabalavu says the facility is estimated at $25,000, which will significantly alleviate the increasing pressure on the Labasa Health Center.
The Minister says the community is eagerly looking forward to the expected completion in April next year, filled with anticipation and hope for the future.
He says access to quality health services is not merely a right but a necessity for every individual and family in Fiji, as a healthy population represents the cornerstone of a prosperous community and a resilient nation.
Waiqele Community Leader, Ashok Ram says their long-cherished dream would soon become a reality with the completion.
