Workers at Firstlanding Resort and Mana Island Resort are set to receive pay increases following successful negotiations with the National Union of Hospitality, Catering and Tourism Industries Employees.
The Union confirms that a 5 percent increase in wages and allowances for Firstlanding Resort staff will come into effect from next Monday, 28th July 2025.
General Secretary Daniel Urai signed the agreement on Wednesday and thanked General Manager James Dunn for acknowledging the rising cost of living and the need to support workers.

Meanwhile, at Mana Island Resort, workers will receive a 4.5 percent wage increase, backdated to 1st April 2025, following months of negotiations.
The Union has acknowledged General Manager Hiroshi Matsumoto and his team for engaging in good faith bargaining.
It says discussions will continue to further improve working conditions for staff at both resorts and across Fiji’s tourism industry.
