WOWS Kids Fiji has received a boost in their work in assisting children fighting cancer as the Fiji Football Association has handed a $21,955 cheque to the foundation.
Fiji FA says they signed a memorandum of understanding with Wows Kids Fiji where $1 from every ticket purchased were to be given to the charitable organisation from every Fiji FA-related competition and tournament in Fiji.
CEO Mohammed Yusuf says the sum was collected from 2023 Rooster Chicken Battle of the Giants and Courts IDC ticket sales.
He says per their promise, $1 from every tournament ticket will be donated directly to WOWS Kids, and says they are thankful to everyone for their support.
Yusuf has acknowledged all member associations for their participation in the tournament which played a huge role in making a difference at WOWS Kids.
He has also thanked all football lovers who bought the tickets during the two major tournaments, and says this is their $1 that is going for a good cause.
Yusuf says they will continue to provide financial support to the organisation through upcoming tournaments.
Fiji FA donated $6,401 from the Pacific Cup Tournament in January and $9,209 from the proceeds of Digicel Fiji FACT in September.
