Vualiku Resort construction to create 50 jobs and boost Labasa tourism

50 people are expected to be employed for the construction of the Vualiku Resort in Labasa which will add to the growing tourism industry in the North.

Vualiku Resort owner, Vinesh Dayal says the new development will add value to the market while positively impacting the lives of local people.

Dayal also highlighted that the resort will include a conference room and a wedding reception venue.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade, Manoa Kamikamica, says the project is a significant step toward realizing Labasa’s potential as a hub for tourism, hospitality, and economic growth.

Kamikamica says the business promotes iTaukei empowerment, aligning with Vcorp Limited’s principal objectives and supporting the Labasa Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s efforts to encourage development and attract new business players to the region.

He adds the project redefines landowner-business partnerships, offering both direct and indirect benefits.

Dayal says the resort will feature a double-storey building with 40 rooms, a swimming pool, a restaurant, and various recreational facilities.
