Fiji Water Flying Fijians No 8 Viliame Mata could not help his Edinburgh side as they went down 10-22 to Glasgow this morning.
The Glasgow Warriors have now moved to the top of the United Rugby Championship after that win.
Glasgow led 8-7 at half time.
After briefly falling behind, Warriors upped the pressure as Johnny Matthews and Ally Miller added tries while visiting captain Grant Gilchrist was in the sin-bin.
The victory takes Glasgow one point in front of Leinster in the standings.
The inter-city rivals meet again in Edinburgh next Sunday.
