Chess players from Fiji, Korea, Philippines, Sri Lanka and the Solomon Islands are likely to feature in the University of Fiji Chess Championship in Saweni on Sunday.
Candidate Master Manoj Kumar, Avinesh Nadan, Prashil Prakash and CM Noel Adricula are also confirmed for the event.
The CEO of Sugar Taxis, Ravinesh Reddy has provided $1000 in sponsorship for the prize pool.
The entry fee is $5 for U-18 participants and $10 for adults.
People who wish to compete can join by 8:30am on Sunday at the University of Fiji in Saweni.
