USA Rugby has decided to file for bankruptcy because of its financial problems which have been intensified by the coronavirus shutdown.

TVNZ reports that the loss of membership dues, and sponsorship pullbacks has resulted in a significant loss of revenue.

In a statement released by USA Rugby it stated that due to the current suspension of sanctioned rugby activities which has been caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this has accelerated their existing financial challenges facing the union.
