Two more children have received a new lease of life after getting heart surgeries at the Sai Sanjeevani Children’s Heart Hospital.
5-year-old Susie Lekima is one of the children and her father Ratu Lekima Drekeivalu says he got emotional as he looked at his daughter and thought of those days of her coughing and struggling to live a normal life.
Ratu Lekima says he is now relieved that his daughter has received life saving surgery.
Taraivini Huon, the mother of 9-year-old Laniana Navuso says she was relieved when she was informed that there is a free heart surgery hospital in Suva where her daughter can have a chance to get her screening done and undertake surgery.
Huon is thankful that the operation was successful and believes her daughter will now live a normal life.
