A 15-year-old and a 17-year-old along with 18-year-old Devekuta Ledua Vererua have been remanded in custody for allegedly raping a 13-year-old boy in Lami last month.
They appeared before Suva Magistrate Pulekeria Low this afternoon.
The three are charged with one count of rape.
It is alleged that on the 30th of last month, the three raped the 13-year-old boy at the home of the victim’s relative.
In another case, the 17-year-old is charged with a count of sexual harassment for allegedly harassing an 18-year-old woman.
The alleged offence took place on the 26th of last month.
Meanwhile, it was also revealed in court that 18-year-old Vererua was charged with a count of rape in 2021.
The matters have been transferred to the Suva High Court and will be called on the 27th of this month.
