Retired rugby dual-code great Lote Tuqiri says crossing the rugby divide isn’t an easy thing to do, but if any athlete is capable of the feat it’s Roger Tuivasa-Sheck.

Tuqiri began his career as a gun rugby league winger with the Broncos and represented both Queensland and Australia, before a high-profile switch to the 15-man code in 2002 where he earned his first Wallabies cap within a year.

However Tuqiri believes the Warriors fullback won't walk into an All Blacks jersey because of the abundance of talent coming out of New Zealand's rugby factory.

Tuqiri - who played 67 Tests for Australia in rugby - was one of the best footballers to transcend the rugby codes.

It has been widely reported that Tuivasa-Sheck will sign with New Zealand Rugby with the aim to represent the All Blacks at the 2023 World Cup after months of secret negotiations.
