Tuisinu overcomes fear and self-doubt to scoop CMF Primary Dux Award
14-year-old Lazarus Tuisinu

Overcoming his fears and doubts has motivated 14-year-old Lazarus Tuisinu to work even harder and be awarded the 2024 Dux Award during the CMF Primary School Annual Prize Giving today.

The Nawaikama, Gau boy says he is now relieved after receiving the award knowing the challenges and difficulties that he had to overcome during this academic year, especially preparing for the external exams.

Tuisinu says he was always doubting himself whether he would be achieving this award or not and it was a challenge he went through both mentally and spiritually.

He says he was always trying to find the balance in his academic career and he is now happy that he found the balance.

The CMF Primary School Head Boy says he is always inspired by his mother who always shares with him her stories of her childhood days and how she did not do well academically, so he wanted to take that as an inspiration for success.

Tuisinu says now he is more motivated to work even harder to achieve the goal that he has set which is to become an oncologist when he graduates.

Tuisinu scored the highest mark in Health Science with 99 percent and shares the highest mark scored in Social Science with Hadassha Kofana with 94 percent.

More than 100 students were awarded today during the CMF Annual Prize Giving ceremony for their efforts throughout the academic year.
