Acting Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu is making a plea to people to follow the health and curfew restrictions and avoid putting themselves in a regrettable situation.

Tudravu says more people continue to disregard COVID-19 restrictions as 16 cases were recorded over the last 24 hours.

He says 3 farmers of Natokalau in Levuka breached health restrictions and were caught drinking grog.

Tudravu adds 4 people who were from different households were arrested after they were found intoxicated at Naria Village in Ra.

He says the Central Division recorded 2 cases that involved 2 women in their 30’s who were both travelling without a pass during curfew hours.

Tudravu says of the 7 cases recorded in the Southern Division, 5 people from different households were arrested for consuming alcohol in Nadera while 2 others were arrested in Nadawa for similar cases.

The Northern Division recorded no cases.
