SODELPA MPs Peceli Vosanibola and Simione Rasova's trial dates have been confirmed by the Suva High Court, while Salote Radrodro's closing submissions has moved to next week.
Vosanibola, Rasova and Radrodro appeared before Suva High Court Judge, Justice Dr Thushara Kumarage this morning.
All three MPs are charged with one count each of False Information to a Public Servant and Obtaining Financial Advantage.
Vosanibola is alleged to have falsely stated that his permanent place of residence was in Navuloa village, Bureta, Ovalau, Lomaiviti and allegedly obtained $19,749.50 between August 2019 and March 2020.
Rasova is alleged to have falsely stated that his permanent place of residence was in Nasenivolau, Nabouwalu village, Ono, Kadavu and allegedly obtained $21,350 between July 2019 and April 2020.
Radrodro is alleged to have falsely stated that her permanent place of residence was in Namulomulo Village, Nabouwalu, Bua and allegedly obtained $37,920.13 in parliamentary allowances between August 2019 and April 2020.
Vosanibola's trial will start on 3rd October and will run for two weeks, while Rasova's trial date is on the 5th of next month.
Radrodro's closing submissions have been moved to next Tuesday after co-lawyer Jagath Karunaratne told the High Court that Simione Valenitabua is currently sick and also produced a sick sheet.
