Miss Pak & Save Supermarket Eta Tale Maisolomone Phyllia Apa says the Tebara Queen competition has boosted her confidence and self-esteem level, which is something she has been struggling with for some time.
The 19-year-old FNU student says the training has also assisted her in understanding more issues affecting our surroundings.
She says it was once her dream in Year 8 to be part of a pageant, but what got her through to the Tebara Carnival Queen contestants is a colleague of hers who pushed her to audition.
Apa is a first-year Bachelor in Secondary Education student at FNU, and her hobbies are swimming and playing netball.
She has paternal links to Buca Village in Cakaudrove, Vanua Levu and has maternal links to Navaga Village in Koro, Lomaiviti.
Meanwhile, the float procession will start from 12.30pm to 1pm. The float procession will be along Mistry Lane to Syria Park.
The judging of floats will be at 1.30pm while the Crowning of Miss Tebara 2022 and Miss Charity will be at 8.30 tonight.
