Three more Chiefs players ruled out for 2020 season due to injury
Prop Atu Moli has been ruled out for the season with a hip injury

The Chiefs have another blow to their Super Rugby Aotearoa campaign as three more players will be out of action for the remainder of the season.

The Chiefs confirmed yesterday that prop Atu Moli is set to undergo surgery on both his left and right hips, but now they have also confirmed that locks Michael Allardice will undergo shoulder reconstruction surgery and Laghlan McWhannell will undergo a knee surgery while outside back Sam McNicol is out due to an ankle surgery.

They have brought in Taranaki second-rower Tupou Vaa’i who will be backed up with the likes of Tyler Ardron and his Under 20 teammate Naitoa Ah Kuoi.

No replacements have been made for Moli or McNicol who are both in the final years of their contracts with the Chiefs and the New Zealand Rugby.

The Chiefs will kick-off their Super Rugby Aotearoa campaign against the Highlanders at 7.05pm Saturday while the Blues will face the Hurricanes at 3.35pm Sunday.
