There is a lot of competition for the fly-half position - Valetini
Swire Shipping Fijian Drua Flyhalf Kemu Valetini

My target for this year is just to be fit and ready as there is a lot of competition for the fly-half position.

The player that came in clutch twice for the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua against the Crusaders in Lautoka and the Hurricanes in Suva, Kemu Valetini highlighted this in an interview with fijivillage News.

Valetini says next year he will be competing with youngsters Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula and Sikeli Rabitu for the number 10 jersey.

He credits his parents as his motivation for their massive support and says he wants to make them proud.

The 29-year-old says playing for the Drua has really helped in learning more about himself and where he comes from.

Valetini says growing up he was plagued with a lot of injuries.

He adds only through perseverance and belief in himself that he could make something out of his rugby career, and is why he is where he is today.

The Drua kick off their Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific campaign against the Blues on February 24th in Auckland.
